我们在阅读英语句子或文章时，会不自觉地，像读中文文章一样，逐字逐句仔细读，有木有？但是读完之后会发现，咦，单词似乎都读完了，但是句子乃至文章却不知所云，似懂非懂。

文章是由句子构成的，所有的句子读懂了，文章自然也就读懂了。而决定句子意思的，不仅仅是单词，还有句子的结构，看懂了句子结构就可以猜测生词了。雅思阅读文章多半是长难句，学会了如何快速拆分长难句，雅思阅读就不再有障碍！

今天我们就来讲一讲如何拆分雅思阅读文章中的长难句。

阅读步骤如下：

按照句子的语法结构拆分         语法破解         译文(供参考)        全句(一目了然)

我们来举两个具体的例子(均选自真题)，

剑9 Test 4 Passage 1

Marie also gave lectures in Belgium, Brazil, Spain and Czechoslovakia and, in addition, had the satisfaction of seeing the development of the Curie Foundation in Paris, and the inauguration in 1932 in Warsaw of the Radium Institute, where her sister Bronia became director.

拆分: ① Marie also gave lectures in Belgium, Brazil, Spain and Czechoslovakia and, in addition, had the satisfaction of seeing the development of the Curie Foundation in Paris, and the inauguration in 1932 in Warsaw of the Radium Institute,

② where her sister Bronia became director.

语法破解：①是主句，gave和had是由and, in addition连接的两个并列的谓语，the development和the inauguration是由and连接的动名词seeing的两个并列的宾语。

②是由where引导的非限制性定语从句，修饰先行词the Radium Institute。

参考译文：①玛丽也在比利时，巴西，西班牙和捷克斯洛伐克讲学，此外，看到了居里基金在巴黎发展成功以及镭研究所于1932年在华沙启动也让她感到满意，

②她的姐姐/妹妹Bronia成了镭研究所的主任。

剑8 Test 1 Passage 2

It was only after the creation of the FAA that full-scale regulation of America's airspace took place, and this was fortuitous, for the advent of the jet engine suddenly resulted in a large number of very fast planes, reducing pilots' margin of error and practically demanding some set of rules to keep everyone well separated and operating safely in the air.

拆分: ① 强调句：It was only after the creation of the FAA that full-scale regulation of America's airspace took place,

② 主句：and this was fortuitous,

③ 原因状语从句: for the advent of the jet engine suddenly resulted in a large number of very fast planes,

④ 状语:  reducing pilots' margin of error and practically demanding some set of rules to keep everyone well separated and operating safely in the air.

语法破解：① 和 (②&③&④) 是由and连接的并列句，是同等关系。

②, ③和④是主从复合句，其中②是主句，③是由for引导的原因状语从句，④是现在分词短语作伴随状语。

参考译文：① 直到FAA创建后，美国才开始进行全面的航空管制，

② 这是偶然的，

③ 因为喷气式发动机的出现突然导致大量飞行速度很快的飞机出现，

④ 这减少了飞行员的误差范围，并且实际需要一些规则来保证每架飞机能保持良好的分散状态，并在空中安全飞行。
